Today’s journey takes you from Tsedang to Gyantse, passing the beautiful Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake). Cross the Karo La Pass (5,010 meters) as you enjoy panoramic views of the Tibetan plateau. Once in Gyantse, visit the impressive Khumbum Stupa, a multi-storied structure adorned with intricate murals and statues, and Phalkor Monastery, a significant religious site that symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of multiple Tibetan Buddhist sects. Overnight stay in Gyantse.

Depart Gyantse and drive to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. Enroute, stop to visit the ancient Shalu Monastery, known for its beautiful murals and the historical connection to the introduction of Tibetan Buddhism.
