Dudhpokhari, located at approximately 5,300 meters above sea level, is a pristine alpine lake surrounded by stunning Himalayan landscapes. Thurchu, the base camp of Dudhpokhari and Namun La Pass, lies at around 4,500 meters and serves as the confluence point of the Lamjung, Manang, and Kaski districts. This remote and lesser-known trekking route offers breathtaking views, rich cultural experiences, and untouched natural beauty. Ideal for adventure seekers, this trek promises an unparalleled journey through diverse terrains and traditional villages.

Detailed itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner and a briefing on the trek.

Explore UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Prepare for the trek.

A scenic drive through rolling hills, terraced fields, and charming villages leads to Baluntar, the starting point of the trek.

The trek begins with an ascent through forests and farmlands, passing small settlements before reaching Lilikkot, offering panoramic views of surrounding hills.

Following a winding trail through dense forests and traditional villages, we reach Harmi Bhanjyang, known for its cultural significance and mountain vistas.

A challenging climb through rhododendron forests and high ridges rewards trekkers with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges.

We continue through alpine pastures and remote hamlets before arriving at Bhasi Kharka, a serene spot offering striking mountain scenery.

As we ascend, the vegetation becomes sparse, and the landscape transforms into rugged terrain with stunning views of towering peaks.

The highlight of the trek, Dudhpokhari, is reached after a long but rewarding hike. The pristine lake, encircled by snow-capped peaks, is a sight to behold.

Descending from Dudhpokhari, we head towards Narte Pokhari, another glacial lake known for its scenic beauty.

The trail winds through rocky terrain and high-altitude meadows before reaching Rupila Phedi, a base camp for crossing Namun La Pass.

A steep descent leads to Sumrung Khola, a remote riverside campsite with mesmerizing surroundings.

Following a forested trail, we descend further, encountering diverse flora and fauna along the way.

We pass through traditional villages and terraced fields, witnessing the daily lives of locals and their unique customs.

A gradual descent through rhododendron forests leads us to Thala, offering cultural interactions with the Gurung community.

As we descend further, the landscape transitions to lush green fields and picturesque village settings.

The final day of trekking takes us to Gorkha, home to the historic Gorkha Durbar, the ancestral palace of Nepal’s unifier, King Prithvi Narayan Shah.

A scenic drive back to Kathmandu allows time to reflect on the trek while enjoying views of rolling hills and rivers.

A leisure day to explore the capital city, shop for souvenirs, or relax before departure.
