Your adventure begins with a breathtaking flight into Kathmandu, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayas on a clear day. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our friendly representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you will receive a detailed briefing about your tour itinerary. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, a popular hub filled with local shops, cafes, and cultural experiences. After an early breakfast, embark on an enriching sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your first stop is Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), a 2,500-year-old stupa perched on a hilltop, offering a panoramic view of the valley. This sacred site holds deep Buddhist significance and is adorned with prayer flags and intricately designed stupas.
Next, visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Surrounded by monasteries and Tibetan cultural shops, it is a serene spiritual hub where you can observe monks chanting prayers and spinning prayer wheels.
From here, continue to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, this temple is a significant pilgrimage site and also serves as a traditional cremation ground for Hindus. (Non-Hindus are not permitted inside the main temple.)
In the afternoon, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic palace complex that showcases Nepalese architecture, courtyards, and centuries-old temples. Explore its remarkable temples, including Krishna Temple, Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, and the Golden Temple.
