Detailed itinerary

The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Jalbire, passing through picturesque terraced fields, lush forests, and charming villages. En route, you'll get a glimpse of traditional rural life and stunning mountain landscapes. Jalbire is a vibrant settlement with historical significance, once serving as a trade hub for Nepal-Tibet commerce.

Leaving Jalbire, we trek through forests, small hamlets, and terraced farmlands. The trail is a gradual uphill climb, offering beautiful views of rolling hills and distant snow-capped peaks. Chanaute is a small settlement inhabited by Brahmin and Chhetri communities, providing an authentic experience of Nepalese culture.

Today's trail takes us through steep ascents and lush greenery, with panoramic views of the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges. We arrive at Khani Gaon, a traditional Newar village with a rich historical background, known for its unique cultural practices and friendly locals.

This day is dedicated to acclimatization and cultural immersion. We explore Newar heritage, local temples, and traditional houses, while enjoying stunning vistas of the Himalayan foothills. You’ll have the chance to interact with locals and experience their daily lifestyle.

We begin our ascent into dense rhododendron and pine forests, leaving behind the last permanent settlements. The trail offers serene wilderness, occasional wildlife sightings, and a true sense of adventure. We set up camp in the forest, surrounded by absolute tranquility.

Continuing our trek, we reach Pati, a small temporary settlement with a few teahouses, mainly used by pilgrims traveling to Bhairav Kunda. Along the way, we enjoy breathtaking views of the Langtang range and Tibetan peaks.

Today, we reach the sacred Bhairav Kunda, a revered pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Pilgrims believe that taking a dip in the lake cleanses them of sins and brings spiritual liberation. We witness stunning reflections of surrounding mountains in the pristine waters, while soaking in the divine energy of this holy site. Camping overnight near the lake.

After experiencing the serene beauty of Bhairav Kunda, we descend towards Sherpa Gaun, a traditional Sherpa village with warm hospitality and prayer flag-lined monasteries. This area provides insights into Tibetan Buddhist culture.

We continue descending through forested trails and scenic landscapes, eventually arriving at Larcha, a settlement near the Bhote Koshi River. For those interested, Bhote Koshi River rafting or bungee jumping can be arranged.

The final leg of our journey takes us back to Kathmandu, where we conclude the trek. Spend the evening celebrating your successful adventure with a farewell dinner.
