Panch Pokhari is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site, attracting devotees during Janai Purnima. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you will receive a briefing about the trek. Enjoy a welcome dinner featuring traditional Nepali cuisine.

Explore the cultural and historical wonders of Kathmandu Valley, visiting:

  • Pashupatinath Temple (a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site)
  • Boudhanath Stupa (one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world)
  • Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) (offering panoramic views of the valley)
  • Kathmandu Durbar Square (showcasing ancient architecture and culture)

    Prepare for the trek by checking your gear and purchasing any last-minute essentials.

Embark on a scenic drive to Chautara, the headquarters of Sindhupalchowk district. The journey takes you through hilly landscapes, rivers, and terraced farmlands. Upon arrival, explore the local Tamang and Chhetri settlements before resting for the night.

The trek begins with an uphill climb through terraced fields and dense forests. You’ll pass several Brahmin, Chhetri, and Tamang villages, experiencing their unique culture and hospitality. The day ends at Phurse, a grazing pasture offering panoramic mountain views.

The trail ascends through rhododendron forests and scenic landscapes. Along the way, you may spot Himalayan wildlife such as langurs, pheasants, and deer. The day’s trek ends at Kami Kharaka, where we camp amidst serene surroundings.

Continue through alpine forests and rolling hills, enjoying stunning views of Jugal Himal and Dorje Lakpa (6,986m). Reach Pauwa Bas, a quiet rest stop used by pilgrims and trekkers.

The trail becomes steeper as we trek towards Hille Bhanjyang, a high-altitude ridge offering spectacular views of the Himalayan range. Overnight stay in a mountain lodge or campsite.

Trek through lush pine and rhododendron forests, crossing small streams and traditional yak pastures. Arrive at Nasim Pati, a beautiful meadow with breathtaking mountain views.

Today, you reach the sacred Panch Pokhari lakes, surrounded by towering peaks. These five holy lakes hold deep religious significance for Hindus and Buddhists, particularly during the Janai Purnima festival. Spend time exploring the pristine surroundings, ancient shrines, and serene waters before camping near the lakes.

After witnessing a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, trek back to Nasim Pati, retracing the scenic trail. Overnight stay at a lodge or campsite.

Descend through dense forests and traditional villages, passing monasteries and chortens. The trek leads to Dukang, a Tamang settlement where you can experience the local Buddhist culture.

Continue trekking through Sherpa and Tamang villages, witnessing colorful prayer flags, chortens, and monasteries. The landscape transitions from alpine forests to rolling hills as we reach Dhap.

Descend towards Melamchi Bazaar, a vibrant town known for its local markets and river valley views. Enjoy the last night in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, passing terraced farms and rivers. Upon arrival, enjoy a farewell dinner and reflect on your incredible trekking journey.
