Phari Lapcha Peak (6,017m) is an exciting climbing peak in Nepal’s renowned Gokyo Valley, offering a perfect blend of trekking and mountaineering. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy an evening briefing about the expedition, followed by a welcome dinner in a traditional Nepali restaurant.
Embark on a guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa. In the afternoon, finalize trek preparations and check climbing gear.
Take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Upon arrival, begin trekking through lush forests and Sherpa villages before reaching Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River.
Follow the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. A challenging ascent brings you to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant heart of the Khumbu region.
Spend the day exploring Namche Bazaar, visiting the Everest View Hotel for stunning mountain vistas, and exploring the Sherpa Museum. Acclimatization is crucial for a successful climb.
Trek through rhododendron and pine forests with breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kangtega. Pass through Khumjung village before reaching the high-altitude pastures of Dole.
A steady ascent through alpine landscapes leads to Machhermo, a remote settlement offering spectacular views of Cho Oyu and surrounding peaks.
Continue along the Ngozumpa Glacier to reach Gokyo, a stunning village beside pristine glacial lakes. Enjoy awe-inspiring views of Cho Oyu and the surrounding peaks.
Spend the day adjusting to the high altitude. Explore potential climbing routes on Phari Lapcha’s north face while soaking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
A morning ascent of Gokyo Ri rewards you with one of the best panoramic views in the Everest region, featuring Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu. Descend back to Gokyo for a rest day.
Return to Gokyo and make final preparations for the Phari Lapcha climb, organizing gear and reviewing climbing techniques.
An early morning ascent begins from yak pastures above Gokyo, following a gradual slope towards the summit. The final push includes an ice and snow climb to reach the top. After celebrating the achievement, descend safely to Gokyo.
For experienced climbers seeking an extra challenge, this day allows an attempt at “Snotty’s Gully,” a technical climb on Dawa Peak. Others may choose to rest or explore Gokyo Lakes.
Finish the climb and descend towards Machhermo, retracing your steps along the stunning Ngozumpa Glacier.
Follow a familiar trail back to Namche Bazaar, where you can celebrate the successful climb with fellow trekkers.
The final trekking day descends through lush forests and picturesque villages before arriving in Lukla.
A scenic morning flight returns you to Kathmandu. Spend the day exploring, shopping, or relaxing in the city.
After an unforgettable adventure, our team will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
