As part of the renowned Annapurna Circuit, this trek offers an unforgettable experience of walking through the deep Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world's deepest gorge, surrounded by the towering peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trail takes adventurers through diverse landscapes, from lush forests to arid highlands, and introduces them to the traditions of the Thakali and Tibetan-influenced communities. The trek culminates at Muktinath, a revered pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, before concluding in the picturesque town of Jomsom.

Detailed itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu or relax at your accommodation. In the evening, we will conduct a briefing about the trek.

After a scenic flight to Pokhara, we drive to Suikhet Phedi, the starting point of our trek. The journey begins with an uphill climb through terraced fields and small settlements. Dhampus, our stop for the night, offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains.

Today's trek takes us through rhododendron forests and traditional villages. We descend to the Modi Khola River before ascending to the beautiful Gurung village of Landruk. The village provides stunning views of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

We continue our ascent through lush forests, crossing small streams and waterfalls. Tadapani, meaning "Far Water," is a serene settlement offering mesmerizing mountain vistas and a peaceful atmosphere.

Our trail winds through rhododendron forests, leading us to Ghorepani, a famous viewpoint in the Annapurna region. This charming village is home to the Magar community and serves as a gateway to the renowned Poon Hill viewpoint.

Early morning, we hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After descending to Ghorepani for breakfast, we trek down to Tatopani, a village known for its natural hot springs. Here, you can relax in the rejuvenating waters.

A well-deserved rest day at Tatopani allows trekkers to unwind and enjoy the natural hot springs. You can explore the village, interact with locals, and admire the scenic surroundings.

The trek continues along the Kali Gandaki River, passing through lush vegetation and waterfalls. Ghasa, a small village on the route, is a popular stopover known for its cultural richness and stunning mountain views.

Leaving Ghasa, we gradually enter the arid landscape of the Mustang region. The trail follows the riverbed, offering spectacular views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri peaks before arriving at Larjung, a charming Thakali village.

We trek through the wide Kali Gandaki Valley, passing apple orchards and traditional settlements. Jomsom, the administrative center of the Mustang region, is known for its strong winds and unique Tibetan-influenced culture.

The trail ascends towards Jharkot, offering magnificent views of the barren landscapes characteristic of Mustang. Jharkot is home to ancient monasteries and provides an insight into Tibetan Buddhism and local traditions.

A short trek leads us to Muktinath, a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Pilgrims from around the world visit this temple, which features eternal flames and 108 water spouts. The backdrop of snow-capped peaks enhances the spiritual ambiance of this revered destination.

An early morning flight takes us from Jomsom to Pokhara, followed by a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest or explore the city before your departure.
