Tilicho Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, sits at an elevation of 4,949 meters in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Some sources list the elevation as 4,919 meters (16,138 feet). This remote and pristine destination was historically inaccessible, with parts of the Jomsom side being a restricted military zone since 1974. Over time, the region has opened up, revealing its breathtaking alpine landscapes and offering trekkers a unique opportunity to explore one of Nepal’s hidden gems.

The trek to Tilicho Lake and Mesokonto Pass is a challenging yet immensely rewarding journey, catering to experienced adventurers who seek an off-the-beaten-path experience. Known as the "Annapurna Hard Way Trek," this route takes travelers through a diverse range of terrains, from lush valleys and dense forests to arid high-altitude landscapes and glacial lakes. The trek presents an opportunity to immerse in the beauty of the Annapurna region, traverse remote mountain passes, and experience the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous communities along the way.
